The CiSStats-RESSTE 2026 meeting will focus on the challenges associated with the diversity of data and observation protocols in ecology and environmental applications.
It will explore ways to model complex dynamics using biased, unstructured, or multi-scale data, while accounting for the spatial and temporal constraints inherent to the systems under study. Topics will include targeted and adaptive sampling strategies, challenges related to the identifiability of mechanistic models and the training of deep learning models on incomplete or biased datasets, integrated modeling of heterogeneous data, real-time data assimilation...
The conference is intended for researchers working with heterogeneous data, including, but not limited to, those derived from citizen science, and interested in engaging in a methodological reflection on how to model such data rigorously.
It will take place over Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, with a succession of talks (in french) from invited speakers and participants.
